Mom and Dad visit - health concerns

I need to plan a menu for Mom and Dad's visit. I want to be very low sodium diet. I usually like to do one big meal. I was thinking turkey on the grill one night. But I need other ideas.  Also what do they do for lunch, I know they should not have cold cuts. Thanks for any help.

They ate a lot of soup for lunch when they have been visiting me, but of course, it was colder than. Maybe keep things in for salads?

Also, from this site, some of my biggest hits with them were Bridget's Shrimp & Orzo dish and the chicken in phyllo dough. I'll try to think of some others as well.

  3. They've loved Pork Roast when they've been with me. Dad often skips lunch, Mom eats what ever. Good luck,

  4. The last few times I saw them, Dad doesn't do much for lunch, a piece of fruit. If you do the turkey, you could always do extra & slice it up or make turkey salad.

I know there's a low sodium web site (it escapes me now, but if you google it, I'm sure you'll find it). Cookinglight.com has some low-sodium articles/recipes too. Fish is always a good idea & if you have any venison from last year, I know they always get a kick out of that (chili or something).

I'd make anything you like to make, just leave out the salt. Hope that helps.
