Fresh Pasta

Does anyone make their own pasta? Is it worth it? What do you need?

  1. We used to have a pasta machine and I loved making my own. It was especially nice making flavored or spinach. Depending on the kind some times it could be thick and then taste a little doughy. My mother in law makes her own dough and then presses (she had a special maker) it and makes her own ravioli, which is very good, I don't have a press and tried one or two recipes for hand rolling it out with a rolling pin and cutting it into strips with a pizza cutter. I could never get it thin enough for my liking. It was fun. Good luck if you try it.

  2. I make seafood ravioli and pumpkin ravioli with wonton wrappers. I'll post the recipes after the holiday. I've got another good 13 hours of prep ahead of me :-D
